  1. Unlock your car door with your key on the driver’s side.
  2. Get inside your vehicle and shut the doors.
  3. Press and hold the unlock button on the driver’s door while inserting your key into the ignition at the same time. Turn the key to the “On” position, but don’t turn the car on. Your interior lights and radio will turn on, but make sure not to start the engine.
  4. Keep holding the unlock button on the door, turn your key back to the “Off” position, then turn it to “On” and right back to “Off” once more in quick succession. (On – Off – On – Off)
  5. Let go of the unlock button. Your vehicle’s doors will lock and unlock, signaling that the programming sequence can begin.
  6. On the Chevy key fob, press and hold the “Unlock” and “Lock” buttons at the same time until you hear the door lock and unlock again. This means you’re all set.
  7. Re-insert the programmed key back into the ignition to the “On” position to finish the Chevy key fob programming process.
