2021 Chevy Colorado Z71

Chevrolet Z71 Edition vehicles have been a part of the Chevy tradition for more than a third of a century now, and the trim package continues to bring additional style and capability to all the vehicles it graces. Let’s dive into the Chevy Z71. You can always get in touch with us if you have any questions about our lineup here at Cornerstone Chevrolet as well.

The Meaning of Z71

Z71, similar to the Z51 performance packages on Corvettes, has no intrinsic meaning or acronym associated with it. Just performance. Like many other trim packages for enthusiasts, Z71 started out life as a simple randomly-assigned alpha numeric code for a factory performance package. Those in the know would have their vehicle specifically outfitted by specifying that code, and in the case of Z71, this meant an avalanche of off-road performance parts. These days the Z71 code has become a brand unto itself, largely as the starting point for enthusiasts when they spec out a vehicle.

Chevrolet Silverado Z71

The larger brother of the mid-sized Chevy Colorado Z71, the Chevy Silverado Z71 is equipped with the right equipment to go beyond the beaten path. Suspension upgrades and bodywork changes improve both the look and performance of the Silverado on the trails far outside Big Lake.

Chevrolet Colorado Z71

The Colorado Z71 makes great use of its reduced size and mass out on the rough stuff, making it more nimble than the heavier and bulkier Silverado. The Colorado Z71 pack is also excellent as a balance of performance and affordability.

Chevrolet Suburban Z71

Want to bring your entire extended family on an off-road adventure? The Chevy Suburban Z71 is the SUV to do it. Three rows of incredibly spacious and comfy seating, matched with excellent suspension components and a capable available 4×4 system, mean that you can take the fun just about anywhere, not just on the paved roads of St. Michael.

Chevrolet Tahoe Z71

The Chevy Tahoe Z71 is smaller and thus easier to wrangle than its larger Suburban cousin, but no less comfortable or capable. Advanced suspension technology means it is just as capable on the road as off it.
